Swaps #24-45: Oh wow it's been a while

So I haven't been updating for a while.. and that is my fault because I have been putting it off... So here is an update of the swaps that I have been in.

#24: Crazy for Knitting - Send some knitting supplies to one partner. I got mine and loved it. But the girl who I had hasen't recieved hers yet. And we had a couple of flakers. This was my first time hosting so yah. Not so hot. But I liked the idea of the swap.

#25 and #43: 7" granny squares - send two granny squares to two partners. I love making grannies. and it will be so much fun to put them together and say that they came from all over. I just wish I knew a different pattern

#26 and #33: Blank Notecard - Send some blank notecards to partners. I love this kind of swap. Simple and fun. Notecards are always needed.

#27: I am a Nerd - E-mail partners and tell them why you are nerdy. Here is what I sent:

The room quiets from the last speech and the brown haired girl looks around before standing up. It was her turn to speak and she knew it. She just hated talking in front of an audience. Someone once told her to picture them naked. That never worked, she just turned beet red. The girl walked slowly to the mic, trying to gain her composure. She looked out at the group and smiled shyly. Clearing her throat she said, "Hello, my name is Janis. And I am a nerd." She combed her fingers through her shoulder length hair. "Now you might not believe me but I have a rather extensive list of reasons for you. Please hear me out." "First off there is the convention that I nearly wet my self over. I was at work, just flipping through the newspaper when I saw an add for this convention with LENOARD NEMOY!! There will be more people there but I am most excited over the fact that Spock will be an hour away from me. Plus the fact that I really REALLY want to go." She smiled out at the audience again, getting more confident with every word. "My second nerdy thing is my obsession with yarn, and not just yarn but any knitting or Crocheting thing. It is like crack for my soul. I cannot seem to get enough of it. I have a three drawer tupperware thing full of yarn and I always desire more." She began to think of another reason why she was a nerd but couldn't. "Well I guess that is about it. Thank you for listening to me." She held up her hand in a vulcan form, and said "Live Long and Prosper."

#28: Love Postcard - send a Postcard that signifies love. Such a cute swap. I really liked the PC i got.

#29: Stickers - Send some stickers to your partner. I now have stickers coming out my wazoo.. and I love it.

#30: I love my Kitchen - Send some kitchen supplies to your partner. I got mine and it was all blue stuff. My partner hasen't recieved hers yet so I might have to resend.

#31: Private Swap - Between me and another woman. I gave her bathroom stuff and I got a journal. So nice.

#32: Random Journal - Send a journal to a friend with random posts in it. I love the journal I got.

#34: Food Box ATC - Make an Altered Traiding Card out of a food box and send to three people. I don't really know if I like ATCs but I did like the work that my partners put into their cards.

#35: Inspire Me - Make seven different envilopes with inspireation for your partner. Oh my goodness I wish you could all see the envilopes I got. My partner put so much work into them. And the woman I sent to really liked what she got.

#36: Black and White PC - Send a black and White Postcard to two partners. Such beautiful postcards I got back.

#37: Blue Yarn - Send blue yarn to your partner. Man.. I am addicted to yarn.

#38: Geeky Day - Send something nerdy to your partner. I haven't recieved mine yet. and the woman I sent to didn't like what she got.. oh well.

#39: Angel Crossword - Send an Angel themed Crossword to two partners. It was fun to continue this theme.

#40: Firefly ATC - Send one firefly themed ATC to your partner. I had to take part in this one because Dudes I love anything Joss Whedon. I can't wait to see what my partner made for me.

#41: Food Box PC - Send two partners a PC made from a food box. It was fun to host this one. And really easy too.

#42: Blank PC - Send 10 or so blank PC to your partner. Fortunatly my dollar store carries a pack of notecards. I just picked them up and mailed it out. Easy Peasy.

#44: Yellow Yarn - Send yellow yarn to your partner. Once again showing my addictions.

#45: May is my Birthday and I want a card - Send a birthday card to your partner.

Swap 20-23: Crosswords, Postcards and Letters; Oh my!

Hey guys,
So let me tell you what I've been up to Swap Wise.

Swap 20: A Buffy Crossword swap that I created. It was really fun to put together and do. I geeked out a little over the whole thing.

Swap 21: Sunrise PC swap. Pretty basic. Had to send out sunrise or sunset PC to two partners. It was fun. I can't wait to see what I get.

Swap 22: Animal PC swap. Same as sunrise but with animals.

Swap 23: Letters, Uncrafty but sincere. I had to send out two letters with no extras included. It was actually pretty difficult because I really wanted to add something. But yah. I hope they like them.

For my Famous people PC swap I got a Postcard today of Janis Joplin. :D

Well I guess that is about it. I really enjoyed my day off today. Work the next two so yah.. and the time switch really messed with my brain. Hope you are all doing well.

Swaps # 17-19: Postcards and Recipes

Swap #17: Famous People Postcard = I actually created this one and we had to send a postcard with a famous person on it to two people. It was fun. I can't wait to see the cards that I get.

Swap #18: Mountain View Postcard = We had to send a postcard of a mountain to two partners. Since I just moved to the most beautiful place on earth were we are literally surrounded by mountains it was nice to share my land with some friends. I am looking forward to seeing other people's mountains.

Swap #19: T is for Tomato = Another e-recipe swap. I sent out three recipes with Tomatoes in them. I am waiting on three more people to send back... mmm I love collecting recipes.

Swap #15: Postcard Penpal

So for my 15th swap I got to send out a postcard to two different people. One is going to Anaheim, CA and the other is going to Reynoldsville, PA. We had to write something about ourselves in hopes to get penpals out of the swap :D

Also.. I recieved my penpal letter from a woman in North Dakota. I wrote her back :D

In other news.. I got a job today. Part time to begin with but $14 an hour so yah.. I'm not complaining. It is at Sobey's and seriously I had the job within like 10 min after leaving the interview room. They called my roomie for a reference and then called me to tell me orientation was the following Monday :D WHOOT for employment...

AND!!! beds come on Thursday. I think I am more excited about that than anything EVER!!! I dislike sleeping on anything other than a bed. lol

Swap #14: Notebook Swap

For the 14th Swap I had to send out a notebook and something extra to one person. The person I sent to was from Australia actually. It cost a bit but it was ok. I really hope they like it.

I also sent out a tag today to a woman in Michigan. A tag is when you send to the person who you get or tags you... I sent her a few cute things :d I can't wait to get tagged so i can get stuff... lol yah I am self centered.

Swap #13: Gnome Postcard

So for the 13th Swap I had to send out a gnome postcard to two different people. Originally I got SE (my roomie) as my partner so she ended up switching so I didn't have to send to her.

I sent to a person in New york and in another in Indiana. It was fun.

In other news... I love canmore and everything about it. The place is awesome and beautiful and wow.. yah
